Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking a General Assembly Team Leader for a manufacturing operation in Leicester. You will oversee a team of assembly operatives while staying hands-on with production activities.

Responsibilities include supervising workloads, assembling pumps, operating basic machinery, coordinating with warehouse and internal departments, and maintaining safety, quality and housekeeping standards. This temporary role offers an immediate start with 4 on/4 off shifts.

You will oversee a team of assembly operatives while remaining hands-on with production activities. The role combines team supervision, pump assembly, basic machine operation, warehouse support and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate work across the General Assembly team.
• Assemble pumps and support production across different areas when required.
• Operate and carry out basic set-up of machinery.
• Coordinate with warehouse, office and other internal departments.
• Assist with picking, labelling, pallet preparation and returning materials.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow company procedures, SOPs and health & safety requirements.
• Report hazards, near misses and other safety concerns.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving efficiency.
• Train, guide and coach team members, leading by example.
• Complete other reasonable duties associated with the role.

Duration: Ongoing work with an immediate start.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: This role pays an hourly rate of £14.05.

Working Hours: This role offers a 4 on/4 off shift rotation.Shifts commence at 06:00 to 18:00.

Experience & Qualifications
