Job summary

Resicare Alliance is seeking a Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to our staff team in adult social care. You will work with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager, lead shifts, mentor Residential Support Workers and ensure safe, person-centred care.

The role requires strong communication and leadership skills, resilience and a commitment to improving outcomes for those we support. A Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and an enhanced DBS are expected.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) required.
• Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with vulnerable adults.
• Experience in a residential or supported living environment.
• Ability to lead shifts and supervise staff.
• Willingness to undertake a Level 5 leadership qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts as senior staff on duty and ensure safe handovers.
• Provide guidance and direction to Residential Support Workers.
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care with dignity and independence.
• Support new staff during induction and act as role model.
• Maintain care plans, risk assessments and reviews.
• Promote safeguarding culture and liaise with families and professionals.

Are you ready to take the next step into leadership within adult social care? We're looking for a Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to our staff team, helping deliver high-quality, person-centred care to the people we support.

About the Role of Team Leader, Adults

As Team Leader, you'll work closely with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager, leading shifts, supporting and mentoring Residential Support Workers, and helping ensure individuals receive consistent, safe and dignified care. You'll act as a positive role model, supporting best practice and a calm, supportive environment.

This is a rewarding but responsible role that requires strong interpersonal skills, emotional resilience, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for the people we support.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading shifts effectively as the senior member of staff on duty
• Providing guidance, support and direction to Residential Support Workers
• Ensuring safe staffing practices and effective handovers between shifts
• Supporting new staff during induction and acting as a role model in practice
• Delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity and independence
• Supporting individuals with daily living, personal care, health needs and social inclusion
• Promoting a strong safeguarding culture and acting promptly on concerns
• Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and support strategies are followed consistently
• Completing accurate, timely records and contributing to care planning and reviews
• Promoting a safe, clean and welcoming living environment
• Building positive relationships with families, advocates and healthcare professionals

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with vulnerable adults
• Experience working in a residential or supported living environment
• Experience supporting adults with care and support needs
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Calm, resilient and confident in decision-making
• Ability to lead shifts and support staff effectively
• Professional, reliable and flexible approach
• Working towards or willing to undertake a Level 5 leadership qualification
• Previous Team Leader or senior support role
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
• Experience mentoring or supervising staff
• Knowledge of CQC fundamental standards
• Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS
• Full UK driving licence
