Job summary

Resicare Alliance Ltd. is seeking a Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership for our adults care team, guiding Residential Support Workers and ensuring safe, dignified, person-centred care for those we support.

You will work with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager to lead shifts, mentor staff and promote best practice in a calm, supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with vulnerable adults.
  • Experience in residential or supported living environments.
  • Experience supporting adults with care and support needs.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Calm, resilient and confident in decision-making.
  • Ability to lead shifts and support staff effectively.
  • Professional, reliable and flexible approach.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts as the senior on duty and mentor staff.
  • Provide guidance and direction to Residential Support Workers.
  • Ensure safe staffing and effective shift handovers.
  • Support induction of new staff and model best practice.
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care promoting dignity and independence.
  • Support individuals with daily living, health needs and social inclusion.
  • Promote safeguarding and respond promptly to concerns.
  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments and support strategies are followed.
  • Complete accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming living environment.
  • Build positive relationships with families, advocates and healthcare professionals.

Team Leader Adults

Are you ready to take the next step into leadership within adult social care? We're looking for a Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to our staff team, helping deliver high-quality, person-centred care to the people we support.

About the Role of Team Leader, Adults

As Team Leader, you'll work closely with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager, leading shifts, supporting and mentoring Residential Support Workers, and helping ensure individuals receive consistent, safe and dignified care. You'll act as a positive role model, supporting best practice and a calm, supportive environment.

This is a rewarding but responsible role that requires strong interpersonal skills, emotional resilience, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for the people we support.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading shifts effectively as the senior member of staff on duty
  • Providing guidance, support and direction to Residential Support Workers
  • Ensuring safe staffing practices and effective handovers between shifts
  • Supporting new staff during induction and acting as a role model in practice
  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity and independence
  • Supporting individuals with daily living, personal care, health needs and social inclusion
  • Promoting a strong safeguarding culture and acting promptly on concerns
  • Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and support strategies are followed consistently
  • Completing accurate, timely records and contributing to care planning and reviews
  • Promoting a safe, clean and welcoming living environment
  • Building positive relationships with families, advocates and healthcare professionals
What We're Looking For
Essential:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with vulnerable adults
  • Experience working in a residential or supported living environment
  • Experience supporting adults with care and support needs
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Calm, resilient and confident in decision-making
  • Ability to lead shifts and support staff effectively
  • Professional, reliable and flexible approach
Desirable:
  • Working towards or willing to undertake a Level 5 leadership qualification
  • Previous Team Leader or senior support role
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
  • Experience mentoring or supervising staff
  • Knowledge of CQC fundamental standards
  • Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS
  • Full UK driving licence
