Job summary

Resicare Alliance Ltd is seeking a Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership for staff delivering person-centred adult care in residential settings. You will lead shifts, mentor Residential Support Workers and support managers to ensure safe, dignified care.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and a commitment to improving outcomes for the people we support. You’ll promote best practice and a calm, supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with vulnerable adults.
  • Experience in residential or supported living settings.
  • Experience supporting adults with care needs.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Calm, resilient and confident decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts effectively as the senior member of staff on duty.
  • Provide guidance, support and direction to Residential Support Workers.
  • Ensure safe staffing practices and effective handovers between shifts.
  • Support new staff during induction and act as a role model in practice.
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity and independence.
  • Support individuals with daily living, personal care, health needs and social inclusion.
  • Promote a strong safeguarding culture and act promptly on concerns.
  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments and support strategies are followed consistently.
  • Complete accurate, timely records and contribute to care planning and reviews.
  • Promote a safe, clean and welcoming living environment.
  • Build positive relationships with families, advocates and healthcare professionals.

Team Leader Adults

Are you ready to take the next step into leadership within adult social care? We're looking for a Team Leader to provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to our staff team, helping deliver high-quality, person-centred care to the people we support.

About the Role of Team Leader, Adults

As Team Leader, you'll work closely with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager, leading shifts, supporting and mentoring Residential Support Workers, and helping ensure individuals receive consistent, safe and dignified care. You'll act as a positive role model, supporting best practice and a calm, supportive environment.

This is a rewarding but responsible role that requires strong interpersonal skills, emotional resilience, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for the people we support.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading shifts effectively as the senior member of staff on duty

What We're Looking For
Essential
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with vulnerable adults
  • Experience working in a residential or supported living environment
  • Experience supporting adults with care and support needs
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Calm, resilient and confident in decision-making
  • Ability to lead shifts and support staff effectively
  • Professional, reliable and flexible approach
Desirable
  • Working towards or willing to undertake a Level 5 leadership qualification
  • Previous Team Leader or senior support role
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
  • Experience mentoring or supervising staff
  • Knowledge of CQC fundamental standards
  • Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS
  • Full UK driving licence
