Job summary

Resicare Alliance Ltd. seeks a Team Leader for our Children's Residential service to guide and support a team of Residential Support Workers in delivering safe, child-centred care.

You will work with the Deputy and Registered Manager to help children build resilience, positive relationships and achieve individual potential. You will lead and supervise staff, conduct regular supervisions, support recruitment and training, and ensure safeguarding and care plans are followed.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Essential: Enhanced DBS check valid for working with children and young people.
  • Essential: Genuine motivation to work with children and make a positive difference.
  • Essential: Ability to lead, supervise and motivate a team while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Essential: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Team Leader Children's Home

Are you ready to take the next step into leadership within residential childcare? We're looking for a Team Leader to help lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers, delivering safe, nurturing, child-centred care to children and young people in our residential home.

About the Role of Team Leader, Children's Residential

As Team Leader, you'll work alongside the Deputy and Registered Manager, guiding your team to meet the complex needs of children and helping them build resilience, form positive relationships, and achieve their individual potential. Every interaction is a chance to provide stability, encouragement and positive role modelling for children and staff alike.

This is a rewarding but responsible role that requires emotional resilience, compassion, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children. We welcome applications from experienced practitioners with leadership potential, as well as those stepping into a Team Leader role for the first time who share our values.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS check valid for working with children and young people

  • Ability to lead, supervise and motivate a team while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Willingness to learn, develop professionally and support staff development

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable:

  • Level 5 leadership/management qualification in residential childcare
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff
  • Experience working within a regulated residential care environment
  • Experience supporting children with complex needs or challenging behaviours
  • Full UK driving licence
