Job summary

Swanton Care & Community Ltd is seeking a Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations at our Murton/Seaham service. The role involves leading a shift, delivering practical and emotional support, and promoting person-centred care to help residents achieve their goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar managerial position in care is essential.
  • Willingness to work towards or hold Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for person-centred care and supportive leadership.

Responsibilities

About The Role

Position:Team Leader

Location:Murton, Seaham (SR7 9)

Hours:Full-time, 40 hours per week

AsTeam Leaderyou will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower your team to enable the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Whilst fully embracing the company ethos the Team Leader will support the service manager by leading the day to day management of a shift.

You will work in a pro-active, responsive, effective and person-centred way to ensure that the lives of the people you and the team are supporting are enriched, to be the best they are able.

The team provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live.

Swanton Care specialises in supported living, community support and provide a number of community support packages for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. All are established with the full involvement of the families who are involved in the recruitment and selection of staff to ensure the best fit for the people they will be supporting.

We are a well established company and have a great reputation in the local community amongst people we support, families and professionals.

To be successful in this role, previous experience within a similar managerial position in a care setting is essential. In addition:

  • You will be willing to work towards or have a level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent
  • You will be enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high quality, person-centred care for the people we support and be able to provide inspiring, motivational, clear and supportive leadership for our colleagues

About The Service

We are a residential care home situated in the heart of Murton, County Durham, providing 24/7 support and care to 10 people with learning disabilities and/or autism. At Murton Grange we promote independence in a person-centred approach.
