We have an exciting opportunity for passionate, enthusiastic and compassionate leader to manage Specialist Alcohol Team working remotely across Inclusion Recovery Hampshire.

Working as part of our leadership team, you will oversee a team of staff managing their own caseloads of clients, offering health support for those using alcohol, embracing the concept of recovery and providing evidence based psychosocial interventions to service users. You will have responsibility for the day to day running of the Specialist Alcohol Service you manage, ensuring that quality and effective treatment is provided to those accessing the service, and supporting and mentoring the team of recovery workers, engagement workers, administrators and trainees within the service.

Main duties of the job

Full-time Team Leader (working 37.5 hours per week) managing the Specialist Alcohol Service in Hampshire.

The vacancy is open to qualified professionals, experienced managers or individuals with leaderships skills and an understanding of alcohol treatment services, and the service covers the whole of Hampshire.

The base for this role is negotiable, however a willingness and ability to travel across Hampshire is essential.

You will be an integral part of a leadership team, making a real difference to people's lives and the wider communities in which we serve.

This job requires you to:- Provide management and leadership to a team of remote workers- Work in partnership with other professions, in particular hospitals, primary care and commissioners.- Work alongside the Inclusion Management team in ensuring service targets are met by mentoring and supervising staff. To take a lead role in service promotion and encouraging new Service User's into treatment.- Support staff in providing person centred treatment to their caseload of Service Users.

  • Be responsible for the day to day running the service, including establishing a timetable of activities for service users and rotas for staff
  • Responsibility for the supervision, management and development of your staff team
  • Responsibility for ensuring the service you lead provides high quality, effective and person centred treatment to those accessing the service
  • Undertaking HR processes such as managing attendance, performance improvement planning and appraisals with staff
  • Recruitment and induction of new staff
  • Taking action to support your staff team in working towards and achieving targets as set by commissioners
  • Understanding data from the work undertaken in order to support your team in their day to day work within the hub
  • Promotion of Service User Involvement
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with stakeholders, partnership agencies and other organisations
  • Contributing to county-wide management and governance meetings
Person Specification
Experience
  • Experience of working in drug and alcohol services
  • Experience of working in partnership with other professionals, in particular hospitals and primary care
  • Skills in managing remote team/workers
Qualifications
  • Foundation Degree/HNC in related field which may include counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, human resources, social studies, leadership and management.
