Job summary

Ash Tree House Care Home in Hindley, Wigan is seeking a Team Leader to supervise care staff and coordinate the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred support. The role involves leading shifts, ensuring compliance and supporting residents’ independence.

AS our care home operates on a 3 on/3 off night schedule, you will need strong leadership, communication and medication administration skills. Enhanced DBS, uniform provision, pension and other benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
• Medication administration training with competency
• Experience leading or supporting a care team

Responsibilities

About Ash Tree House Care Home

Ash Tree House Care Home in Hindley, Wigan provides residential and residential dementia care for older people.

With 60 spacious bedrooms, en suite facilities and landscaped gardens, the home offers a comfortable and welcoming environment.

The team focuses on person centred care, supporting residents to maintain their independence and enjoy an active lifestyle.

Team Leader Contract £15.15- £15.50 per hour Contracted to
38.5 hours per week Nights- 3 on 3 off Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Role Overview As Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day to day leadership and delivery of care within the home, ensuring residents receive safe, high quality and person centred support at all times.

Working alongside the nursing and management team, you will help maintain standards, support compliance and ensure best practice is consistently followed.

You will lead shifts, supervise and support care staff, and take responsibility for the coordination of care delivery.

This includes overseeing care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management, ensuring all practices align with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.

You will act as a role model within the team, promoting positive working practices, supporting staff development and ensuring a culture of respect, dignity and accountability.

You will also contribute to audits, reviews and continuous improvement, helping to maintain a well run and high performing service.
