Job summary

The Amwell Care Home in Melton Mowbray is seeking a Team Leader to oversee daily care delivery, lead shifts and support staff to provide high-quality, person-centred care. You will work alongside nursing and management to maintain standards and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise care staff, coordinate care delivery, and contribute to audits and continuous improvement while promoting a culture of respect and dignity for residents.

Job description

Our private, luxury care home is in the beautiful market town of Melton Mowbray. We offer Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 88-residents.

• £15.00 per hour
• Contracted to 38.5-44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day to day leadership and delivery of care within the home, ensuring residents receive safe, high quality and person centred support at all times. Working alongside the nursing and management team, you will help maintain standards, support compliance and ensure best practice is consistently followed.

You will lead shifts, supervise and support care staff, and take responsibility for the coordination of care delivery. This includes overseeing care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management, ensuring all practices align with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.

You will act as a role model within the team, promoting positive working practices, supporting staff development and ensuring a culture of respect, dignity and accountability. You will also contribute to audits, reviews and continuous improvement, helping to maintain a well run and high performing service.

What We Are Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
• Medication administration training with competency
• Experience leading or supporting a care team
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach
