Job summary

Portman Recruitment is seeking a Team Leader for a Children's Residential Home in the UK. You will oversee day-to-day care, lead staff, and ensure the home meets high standards of care.

The role includes deputising for senior managers as needed and creating a nurturing environment for children and young people. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care, possess a full UK driving licence, and demonstrate resilience, compassion, and a proactive team mindset.

• A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.

Responsibilities

Team Leader – Children's Residential Home

Salary: £41,680 - £48,944 per annum (assuming good attendance and up to 3 sleep-ins per month)

Our client's homes support young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, with the aim of achieving the very best outcomes for every child in their care. As a Team Leader, you'll play a key role in making positive changes, celebrating every milestone, no matter how small.

The Role

As a Team Leader, you'll support the day-to-day care of the young people while ensuring the home operates to the highest standards. You'll lead and support the staff team, promote positive relationships and be prepared to deputise for the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager when required.

This role would suit someone who is compassionate, resilient and able to inspire others while creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people.
