Job summary

Kingdom Local Authority Support seeks an Environmental Enforcement Team Leader to guide frontline operations in South Holland. You will drive enforcement activities, mentor staff, and ensure high standards of service delivery while reducing environmental crime.

The role requires a confident leader with strong communication, outdoor patrol capability, and a full UK driving licence. DBS check is required; weekend work and driving a company vehicle form part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a supervisory role.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Basic DBS check.
• Ability to work outdoors and patrol on foot.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline enforcement duties and issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs).
• Monitor team performance and daily activity.
• Deliver effective environmental enforcement services across South Holland.
• Act as main point of contact for the Local Authority and stakeholders.
• Investigate complaints and respond professionally to public concerns.
• Produce reports, statistics, and support FOI requests.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and procedures.
• Prepare case files and liaise with legal teams when required.
• Support audits, documentation management, and continuous improvement.

ENVIRONMENTAL ENFORCEMENT TEAM LEADER

Location: South Holland
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 5 days out of 7, between 07:00 and 19:00 (Monday to Sunday, weekend work required)
Requirements: Full UK Manual Driving Licence and Basic DBS Check Required

About The Role

Kingdom Local Authority Support is looking for a confident and experienced Environmental Enforcement Team Leader to lead frontline operations across South Holland.

This role combines environmental enforcement responsibilities with team leadership, ensuring high standards of service delivery, compliance, and performance. You will play a key role in reducing environmental crime while supporting, motivating, and developing your team.

As part of this role, you will be required to drive a company vehicle while carrying out operational duties across the area.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading from the front by carrying out enforcement duties and issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs)
• Monitoring team performance, conduct, and daily operational activity
• Supporting the effective delivery of environmental enforcement services across South Holland
• Acting as a key point of contact for the Local Authority and other stakeholders
• Investigating complaints and responding to public concerns professionally
• Producing reports, statistics, and supporting Freedom of Information (FOI) requests
• Training, coaching, and mentoring team members
• Ensuring compliance with current legislation and company procedures
• Preparing case files and liaising with legal teams when required
• Supporting audits, documentation management, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Driving a company vehicle as part of daily operational duties

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team leader role (essential)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism and confidence
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance standards
• Good organisational, administrative, and reporting skills
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently using initiative
• Comfortable working outdoors and conducting foot patrols
• Knowledge of environmental legislation (desirable)
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (essential)
• Ability and willingness to drive a company vehicle as part of the role
• Basic DBS check required
