Job summary

Active Care Group is recruiting a Team Leader for Bilberry Lodge in Rishton, a specialist residential service for women with complex mental health needs. The role is 37.5 hours per week, days with occasional nights, with a pro rata salary around £27,180 per year.

You will build relationships, support rehabilitation, communicate with the clinical team, and supervise Support Workers while contributing to a calm recovery environment.

Qualifications

• Mental Health experience essential.
• Level 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Proven reliability with attendance and timekeeping.
• Able to work as part of a team and also independently.
• Self-confidence to manage challenging situations and address employee issues fairly and consistently.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with the people we support, ensuring open two-way communication.
• Support rehabilitation programmes and activities of daily living as needed.
• Establish methods of communication to reduce barriers for the people we support.
• Report and record work activities accurately.
• Be part of the on-call team and provide supervision of Support Workers.

There is a large lounge area where residents can convene and interact in a communal setting during their recovery.What you'll be working:Days with night shifts when required08.00-20.30 days, 20.00-08.30 nights37.5 HoursMonday - SundayAlternate Weekends£27,179.54 (FTE) Per annum (Pro rata)What you'll be doing:Build relationships with the people we support, which are open and two-waySupport to undertake their rehabilitation programmeEstablish methods of communication with the people we support, reducing barriers when necessarySupport with activities of daily living and personal care when neededCommunicate any issues to the clinical teamAccurately report and/or record work activitiesTo be part of the on-call teamComplete supervision of Support WorkersWhat you'll have:Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.Flexible, professional, and positive approach.Level 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards.Sound working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situationsAbility to address and respond to employee issues in a fair and consistent manner.Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBSWe also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
