Job summary

Silver Birch Care is seeking a Team Leader for The Beeches, a children’s home in Northampton. You will support day-to-day operations, lead shifts, and help provide a safe, nurturing environment for young people.

The role requires experience in residential childcare and a strong safeguarding focus, with opportunities to progress into senior roles within the group.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in residential childcare.
• Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated children’s home.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child-centred practice.
• A positive, resilient, and committed approach.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred).

Hours: Full-Time | 40 hours per week (including days, nights, sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays) Salary: £15.34 per hour - £70.50 sleep-in rate

In The Beeches, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Team Leader to join our children’s home. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the management team and making a real difference in the lives of young people.

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the home, ensuring that high standards of care are consistently delivered. You will help lead the team and create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing a safe, supportive, and child‑centred environment
• Leading shifts and guiding care staff
• Supporting care planning, record‑keeping, and reporting
• Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
• Promoting independence and positive outcomes for young people
