Job summary

Silver Birch Care Holdings is seeking a Team Leader for our children’s home in Sittingbourne. You will support day-to-day operations, lead shifts, and help deliver high standards of care to young people in a safe, nurturing environment.

The role requires safeguarding, care planning support, and collaboration with the management team to drive improvements. Full-time, 40 hours with days and nights; sleep-ins and weekends may apply; driving licence preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in residential childcare.
  • Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated children’s home.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Residential Care (required).
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child-centred practice.

Team Leader – Children’s Residential Home

Hours: Full-Time | 40 hours per week (including days, nights, sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays)
Salary: £15.34 per hour - £70.50 sleep-in rate

In Benecare we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Team Leader to join our children’s home.This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the management team and making a real difference in the lives of young people.

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will support the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring that high standards of care are consistently delivered. You will help lead the team and create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a safe, supportive, and child-centred environment
  • Leading shifts and guiding care staff
  • Supporting care planning, record-keeping, and reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
  • Promoting independence and positive outcomes for young people
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 1 year experience in residential childcare
  • Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated children’s home
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Residential Care (required)
