Pret A Manger - Shift Leader - Front of House
- Support and coach the team to ensure they reach their potential in both the shop and kitchen
- Support the training pathways to ensure training happens on time
- Lead by example and be hands-on when required
- Assign duties amongst team members to match individual productivity rates, skill sets and current responsibilities

- Lead the Speed of Service principles

- Ensure the Coffee Calling System is followed efficiently
- Ensure all Marketplace orders are prepared promptly and accurately
DELICIOUS FOOD AND DRINK
- Ensure the team consistently delivers delicious food by following the 6 Key Points of Production
- Follow the 11-Step Production Process to guarantee customer safety and accurate product preparation and labelling
- Adhere to Production Principles, prioritising customer needs without compromising quality or freshness
- Use and follow How to Cards consistently to deliver Pret standards
- Carry out Line Checks successfully and act on any improvements needed
- Ensure no Made to Sell (MTS) rejects are on display in our Langars
- Develop the team’s knowledge about the quality of our food and coffee
- Ensure Barista Prepared Drinks are made by trained employees to the highest standards
- Maintain Food Safety and Health & Safety Standards consistently
- Monitor and record safety checks correctly
- Take immediate corrective action on issues affecting customers, the team, or sales
- Keep the shop clean, safe, and equipment well-maintained
- Follow MBWA principles, proactively monitoring Pret Standards and viewing the shop through the customers’ eyes
- Report and escalate any quality issues diligently
- Maximise sales, labour efficiency, and profit through the Big 4 (Forecasting, Rota, Ordering & Production)
- Order accurately according to business needs
- Monitor and follow up on Mystery Shopper requirements
- Maintain good stock control following the 7 Steps of Unaccounted
- Follow Pret’s Financial Standards to minimise risks and ensure team safety
- Follow merchandising guidelines and use marketing effectively to drive sales
GROWING SALES

- Support successful food launches
- Encourage clear, engaging communication between kitchen and FOH to meet business needs
