Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Team Leader at the Battlefield Plastics Recycling Facility in Shrewsbury, UK. You will oversee plant operations, lead a team of operatives, and ensure safety and environmental standards are met across rotating shifts.

Working 37.5 hours per week on a 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am pattern, you will support process integrity and drive continuous improvement while you contribute to Veolia's commitment to responsible waste and resource management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a similar team leader operations role.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee/maintain the working processes of the facility
• Control PRF room operations
• Lead operatives, motivating, assigning tasks and monitoring quality standards
• Induct and monitor specific specialised contractors that are required to maintain the safe operations of the facility
• Assist with investigating and reporting findings of process incidents and accidents
• Ensure all environmental permitting and planning permission management practices are adhered to at all times
• To ensure that faults on plant and machinery are reported
• Supervise the facility in the absence of the process shift supervisor

Ready to find the right role for you? Salary - £29,250.00 plus Veolia benefits Hours - 37.5 per week 3 rotating shifts 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am. The shift allowance rate for any anti-social hours worked is to be confirmed. Location - Battlefield Plastics Recycling Facility, Battlefield Way, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY1 3EQ The new Plastics Recycling Facility (PRF) is designed to process up to 200,000 tonnes of non-hazardous plastics annually. This processing includes manual separation, size reduction, automatic sorting, granulation, cleaning, washing, and either baling or bagging.
