  • Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
  • Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
  • Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
  • Support the Area Manager with the running of your area, making sure care is safe, effective and respects each customer’s choices, dignity and privacy
  • Carry out customer assessments and risk assessments before care starts, and create and update care and support plans
  • Lead, supervise and support a team of Support Workers, making sure work is shared out fairly
  • Give inductions, training, supervision and appraisals to your team
  • Work with the Area Manager to match Support Workers to customers, and introduce new Support Workers at the customer’s first call
  • Carry out quality checks, spot checks and customer reviews, and act on anything that needs improving
  • Distribute, collect and check EMAR/MAR charts so medication records are accurate and up to date
  • Make sure accidents and incidents are recorded, reported and acted on
  • Keep customer information secure and confidential
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, families, healthcare professionals and the wider team
  • £14.46 per hour weekdays, £14.66 per hour weekends and £21.08 per hour bank holidays
  • 37.5 hours per week – permanent
  • Full induction and ongoing expert training
  • Uniform and PPE provided
  • Regular support and ongoing career development
  • Friendly, inclusive team with 24/7 support
  • Company pension
  • Access to a company hire car if you need one
  • Specialist training, including PEG feeding and suctioning, and support towards your Level 3

  • Support Worker of the Month, annual appraisal recognition and staff recognition events
  • Qualified Mental Health First Aiders, wellbeing support, staff socials and charity events
Requirements
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Ability to follow care plans
  • Previous experience in health and social care is essential, ideally in homecare or domiciliary care
  • Experience of supervising staff in social or health care
