Job summary

Care Outlook Ltd is recruiting a Team Leader to maintain and develop our extra care service at Audrey Needham & Redwood House in West Berkshire. You will directly manage the care team, supervise staff development, and ensure care plans and risk assessments meet best practice and service users' aspirations.

You will work with Recruitment to maintain staffing levels, handle emergencies, and contribute to on-call coverage while ensuring prompt, respectful communication and compliance with CQC

Qualifications

  • Experience in care coordinating or 2 years working within Health & Social Care
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and compliance (essential)
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Direct management of the care team and staff development through supervision and training
  • Create, manage and monitor care plans and staff rotas to meet service users' needs
  • Ensure care assessments and risk planning meet best practice and customer aspirations
  • Collaborate with Recruitment to maintain current and future staffing levels
  • Provide care services during emergencies and arrange cover as required
  • Ensure telephones are answered promptly and communications are professional
  • Work with Branch Manager to address quality standards and complaints
  • Participate in the on-call rota
  • Implement measures to comply with CQC regulations and raise care standards
  • Promote high-quality care across the service

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to maintain and develop our extra care service in Audrey Needham & Redwood House in West Berkshire. Core Duties & Responsibilities as Team Leader:

  • Direct Management of the care team, monitoring staff development through supervision, appraisals, and training to assist them in delivering a high-quality service
  • Creating, managing, and monitoring customer care plans, ensuring staff rotas meet service users' needs and aspirations
  • Ensuring care assessments, care, and risk planning meet best practice and customers' aspirations
  • Work with the Recruitment Team to ensure sufficient current and future staffing levels
  • To provide care services to service users in an emergency, arrange emergency cover when required and cover all/any calls reasonably where required
  • To ensure that the telephones are answered promptly, and people are spoken to in a polite and respectful manner
  • To work alongside the Branch Manager, ensuring that all quality standards, complaints, and comments are dealt with promptly
  • Participate in the on-call rota
  • Put in place measures to comply with CQC regulations and work to achieve the best care standards possible
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and CQC Compliance (essential)
  • Experience in Care Coordinating or 2 years working within Health & Social Care (preferred)
  • Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
