Job summary

Caremark in Eastleigh is seeking an experienced Care Team Leader to support our growing home care team. You will split your time between delivering person-centered care in clients’ homes and conducting field supervision, care reviews, and staff mentoring in the community.

You would work under the guidance of the Field Care Supervisor, and they would assign compliance checks/tasks to you alongside your usual care work.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving License (Essential).
• Minimum 2 years in domiciliary/community care with ≥1 year in a senior/supervisory role.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to undertake one).
• Proficiency with digital care planning apps such as Access Care Planning.

Responsibilities

• Field Supervision & Support: conduct spot-checks, competency assessments, and shadow training for carers.
• Quality Assurance: ensure visits meet CQC standards, audit MAR charts, and review logs.
• On-Call Support: participate in the out-of-hours rota and roster changes.
• Direct Care: perform regular shifts and cover visits to maintain continuity of care.

Salary: £13.50-£14.50 per Hour plus Extra On-Call, Travel and Mileage pay(40p/mile)
Hours: Full Time

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Field Supervision & Support: Conduct spot-checks, competency assessments, and shadow training for new and existing Care Assistants in the field.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all home visits meet CQC compliance standards, audit medication MAR charts, and review daily log notes.
• On-Call Support: Participate in the shared out-of-hours emergency on-call rota to assist field staff and manage roster adjustments.
• Direct Care: Regular care shifts and cover client visits in emergency situations or staff absences to guarantee continuity of care.

Requirements & Qualifications

• License & Transport: Full UK Driving License (Essential).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in Domiciliary/Community Care, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory capacity(Preferred)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to undertake one).
• Preferred Skills: Proficiency with digital care planning apps (e.g., Access Care Planning).
