Job summary

Albert Bartlett is hiring an Assistant Backyard Manager for our fresh potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire. The role runs Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, and is hourly pay based on experience.

You will manage daily yard operations, supervise grading and storage teams, and support rota planning and stock control, ensuring safety and efficiency across operations. The successful candidate will have prior supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor a diverse

Qualifications

Leadership experience in production or food manufacturing is advantageous.
Strong communication and mentoring skills.
Analytical mindset to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

Manage Backyard daily operations, ensure yard is organised.
Lead Team and Stock Control in Grading and Cold storage areas.
Oversee rota and cover all absences.
Cover end-of-month stock take when needed.
Maintain a healthy, safe, clean working environment.
Keep Forklifts clean; report maintenance issues to Engineering and service company.
Integrate new employees into the workforce.
