Job summary

A leading engineering design firm based in Farringdon is seeking a Team Secretary / Administrator to support their Directors. The successful candidate will handle electronic correspondence, manage meetings, and provide overall administrative support, ensuring effective operation within the team. This role offers a permanent contract and potential for growth in a dynamic environment.

Job description

Job Title: Team Secretary / Administrator



Location: Farringdon



Contract Details: Permanent - ASAP start



Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum DOE



About Our Client:



Our client are an engineering design business who predominantly focus on projects within the built environment. Based in a large open plan office in Farringdon across several floors, they boast in-depth industry knowledge, imaginative ideas and sustainable solutions. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an additional Team Secretary / Administrator to support the existing team of Secretaries who support the Directors of the business.



Responsibilities:



  • Management of the groups electronic correspondence which includes incoming emails

  • Arranging meetings and reviews

  • Managing floor stationery

  • Typing (letters & reports, formatting)

  • Manipulating PDFs

  • Filing and archiving of paper correspondence

  • Managing floor camera and tool box for site visits

  • Answering calls on the floor and taking messages for those busy or not in the office

  • Group daily diary

  • Group project questionnaires and tender submissions

  • Group contacts

  • Organise PPE for site visits for the group

  • Arranging refreshments for meetings with external guests

  • Assisting with cover for reception on a daily basis

  • Assisting with cover for external phone calls and rollover calls from reception

  • General admin and secretarial duties



Requirements:



  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position, providing secretarial and administrative support to key stakeholders within a business

  • Industry experience from industries similar to construction, engineering, housing, architecture or built environment would be advantageous

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent communication skills

  • A flexible and adaptable approach

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
