Job summary

Marston Green Junior School is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching & Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with neurodiverse needs. You will provide in-class assistance and bespoke interventions, focusing on English and Maths while promoting wellbeing.

The role requires safeguarding commitment, Enhanced DBS, and a collaborative, proactive approach within a team during term-time hours.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with neurodiverse needs (Autism/ADHD/SEMH).
• Confident in interpreting and delivering Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
• Able to provide academic and pastoral support.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication.
• Safeguarding commitment and Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support and bespoke interventions for pupils.
• Support English and Maths and promote social-emotional wellbeing.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Collaborate within a close-knit team and use initiative when needed.
