Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils in mainstream primary schools across Sutton and South Croydon. Roles include part-time and full-time opportunities, offering 1:1 tailored support for pupils with mild to moderate additional learning needs.

Experience with SEND, Level 2/3 TA qualifications, and an Enhanced DBS are desirable. Successful candidates will work with teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets, promoting inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable).
• Experience as Teaching Assistant in SEND or inclusion is preferred.
• Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting.
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and well-being.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
• Available Monday to Friday.

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a range of welcoming mainstream primary schools across Sutton who are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide specialist support to pupils with mild to moderate additional learning needs.

These roles offer the opportunity to work closely with children who benefit from extra guidance, encouragement and tailored support, helping them develop their confidence, independence and academic skills in a nurturing classroom environment.

The Role:

The Ideal Candidate:

• At least 6 months experience supporting children with additional needs
• Ideally hold minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
• Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
• Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and well-being
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
• Available Monday to Friday

Pay:

Pay: £93 per day for candidates with a minimum of 3 months experience supporting children or young people in an educational, care or SEND setting. £100 per day for candidates who hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have over 12 months previous experience supporting pupils with SEND including ASc, ADHD, SEMH or SLD or experience with personal care.
