Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants for Primary Schools in Thanet and surrounding areas. This full-time, long-term role offers a 93 per day rate with an ASAP start and a Monday to Friday schedule from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

You will work across Primary schools, providing 1:1, small-group, or whole-class support, with opportunities to assist pupils with SEND and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School is essential.
• Genuine passion for supporting children and helping them succeed.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND would be highly advantageous.
• Patience, empathy, resilience, and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.
• Must be available for full-time, long-term roles, Monday to Friday.
• Right to work in the UK.
• An enhanced DBS (child-only) on the update service, or willingness to obtain a new one.
• Overseas police check if applicable.

The Role

• Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils during lessons, break times, lunchtimes, and school activities.
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence, communication, and social skills.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff.
• Following school policies and maintaining high standards of safeguarding and professional conduct.

Who We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School is essential.

• A full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential due to the location of some schools.
• Must be available for full-time, long-term roles, Monday to Friday.
• The right to work in the UK.
• An enhanced DBS (child-only) on the update service, or willingness to obtain a new one. A new DBS costs 62, and we will reimburse the 62 once you complete 20 days of work with us.
• If you have been out of the UK in the last 5 years for 6 months or more, you will also need to obtain an overseas police check.
