Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant for a vibrant primary school in Yate (BS37). This full-time, term-time role supports pupils in class and in small groups to help them reach their full potential.

£92 - £105 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact in the classroom? We are currently seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Yate (BS37).

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced teaching staff, supporting pupils to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils in class, on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Support children with varying learning needs and abilities.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
  • Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or childcare setting.
  • Is patient, caring and enthusiastic.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Is confident supporting children with additional learning needs.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A supportive and welcoming school environment.
  • Access to our CPD Academy for additional learning and development.
  • Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement.
  • Potential for long-term and permanent opportunities.
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Formal or informal experience working with children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
