Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a Swansea primary school's ALN unit. Immediate start, full-time, long-term role, 6 hours daily in the ALN unit providing tailored support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs.

You will work closely with teaching staff to meet individual needs, demonstrate patience and reliability, and contribute to an inclusive learning environment throughout the placement.

Qualifications

• Essential experience supporting children with ALN.
• Experience in a primary school or similar setting.
• Understanding how to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary school in Swansea that is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant within its dedicated ALN unit. The school is seeking a supportive and enthusiastic individual who can help pupils engage with their learning and provide a positive, inclusive environment.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an Immediate Start. The successful Teaching Assistant will work within the ALN unit for 6 hours per day, providing appropriate support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs / ALN and working closely with teaching staff to meet individual needs.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Essential experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting
• An understanding of how to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A patient and positive approach
• Reliability and adaptability
