TeacherActive Limited in Berwick-upon-Tweed is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support secondary students with SEMH needs. This temporary role starts ASAP, with a daily rate of £140–£160.

You will work closely with teachers to promote engagement, maintain a safe classroom, and help build positive relationships in a supportive school environment. The successful candidate will have experience in education, SEMH, and strong behaviour management skills, with a patient, adaptable approach

Qualificações

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs.
• Experience within a secondary school is desirable.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A patient and resilient approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students.

Responsabilidades

• Support secondary-aged students with SEMH in the classroom and alongside teaching staff.
• Encourage engagement and help manage behaviour.
• Provide additional support where required to ensure an inclusive learning environment.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school based in Berwick-upon-Tweed that is looking for a supportive and resilient Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for someone who can build positive relationships with students and contribute towards a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a short-term basis with an ASAP start. The successful Teaching Assistant will support secondary-aged students with SEMH needs in the classroom, working alongside teaching staff to encourage engagement, manage behaviour and provide additional support where required.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs
• Experience within a secondary school is desirable
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient and resilient approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with students
