Are you a Level 2 or 3 qualified Teaching Assistant with primary classroom experience? Are you looking for an opportunity to work with new schools, make connections, and advance your teaching career?

We are currently seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant for ad hoc work in the Wigan area, available from Monday to Friday. This role is perfect for those passionate and dedicated to primary education. If you're available to start immediately or from September 2025, we would love to hear from you.

The role offers an hourly rate of GBP13.68 - GBP16.68 with flexible work available throughout the week. While the position is ad hoc, there is potential for long-term and permanent opportunities based on performance and school needs.

Your Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant

• Work with children individually or in small groups to enhance learning.
• Act as a positive role model for students and colleagues.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with staff and specialists.
• Assist in resource preparation and activity setup.

Additional Responsibilities

• Help prepare lessons and tidy classrooms.
• Support lesson plans and curriculum activities.
• Provide extra support to children with special needs.
• Assist with marking and reporting student progress.
• Supervise children during trips and activities.
• Look after unwell children.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Guide individuals or small groups confidently.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively.

Essential Requirements

• Experience working with young people.
• Class management skills.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour.

• TA qualification.
