Wigan Based SEND Teaching Assistants Needed

North West / Temporary / £85 - 110 per day

Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a variety of schools?

TeacherActive is seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants / SEND TAs to provide one-to-one support for pupils with SEND across various schools in the Wigan Area (WN2).

As a SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND TA, your role will involve creating engaging learning experiences for pupils. The ideal candidate should have experience supporting pupils with SEND, including SLD, MLD, and PMLD. Being comfortable with personal care would be advantageous.

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

1. A minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational setting
2. Knowledge of working with pupils with PMLD, SLD, ASC, EBD, and challenging behaviors
3. A calm, patient, and caring demeanor
4. A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
5. Experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
