Your new company Here at Hays, we are constantly working with SEN Schools in the Wigan area to provide them with Teaching Assistants. Recently, we have been approached by several high schools in the Wigan area seeking to secure a teaching assistant to work on a full-time, day-to-day, and long-term basis. The schools are looking for someone who can start ASAP and hit the ground running.

Your new role As a teaching assistant, you will provide support and assistance to pupils. This could involve working as general classroom support or on a 1:1 basis with pupils with SEN. Good behaviour management skills and the ability to quickly establish relationships with pupils and staff are essential. There is a high demand for teaching assistants in the Wigan area, so please get in touch to learn more or discuss available roles.

What you'll need to succeed To succeed, you should have recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
