SEND Teaching Assistant

Immediate Start

£85-£110 a day

8.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday

TeacherActive is seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants / SEND TAs to provide one-to-one support for pupils with SEND in various SEND schools across the Wigan Area (WN2).

As a SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND TA, your role will involve inspiring and supporting the learning of pupils with SEND. The pupils have varied needs, including SLD, MLD, and PMLD, so being skilled and comfortable in providing personal care is advantageous.

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have:

1. A minimum of 6 months experience in an educational setting
2. Knowledge of working with pupils with PMLD, SLD, ASC, EBD, and challenging behaviour
3. A calm, patient, and caring approach
4. Good communication skills
5. An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
6. Experience supporting students in 1:1 and small group settings
