Job summary

Saint Mary\'s RC Primary Academy Boston is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a fixed-term role starting September 2026. You will support pupils 1:1 or in small groups, work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, and help foster an inclusive classroom environment.

This is a term-time, fixed-term position for 30 hours per week with generous benefits and a strong Catholic ethos. DBS checks and safeguarding are part of the process; visits encouraged.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for working with children and helping them achieve their best.
• Experience and knowledge of working with pupils.
• SEND experience is desired.
• A proactive, adaptable approach to supporting both staff and students.
• A willingness to embrace and promote our Catholic ethos (you don’t need to be Catholic but must respect our values).

Responsibilities

• Support children in reaching their academic and personal goals.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils.
• Collaborate with teachers to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small group assistance to students needing additional support.
• Play an active role in maintaining a positive and inspiring classroom environment.
