Job summary

Smile Education is partnering with a well-established primary school in Telford to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role. In this position you will support the class teacher, deliver small-group interventions, and provide 1:1 support while assisting pupils with SEN and creating an inclusive, safe learning environment.

Competitive daily pay between £85 and £110, long-term stability, and dedicated consultant support are offered to help you thrive.

Qualifications

• Must have A Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification or relevant experience.
• Experience in UK primary school setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher with the smooth running of daily classroom activities.


• Deliver engaging small-group interventions and provide dedicated 1:1 support.


• Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs.


• Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.


• Monitor pupils' progress and celebrate their achievements.


• Work closely with teachers and other school staff to ensure every child receives the support they need.

What We're Looking For

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or relevant experience working with children.


• Previous experience working within a UK primary school setting.
