Job summary

The Farnley Academy in Leeds is seeking a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to support students in accessing learning, promoting wellbeing and inclusion, and contributing to a positive and inclusive environment. The role is under the direction of teaching staff and aims to help students achieve their potential.

You will build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents, supporting learning across the curriculum with strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills to support learning across the curriculum.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Support students in accessing learning under the direction of teaching staff.
• Promote pupils' learning and development and contribute to their wellbeing, safety and inclusion.
• Establish positive relationships with students and act as a role model.
• Play a key role in supporting high standards of teaching and learning across the academy.
