Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (essential).

  • Is willing to learn and develop within specialist education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and small group support, helping pupils access learning and achieve their goals.
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and personalised learning activities.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, valued and supported.
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
  • Provide calm and consistent support for emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.
  • Adapt your approach to individual needs and different ways of learning.
  • Get involved in activities across the wider school day, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Recognise and celebrate progress, helping pupils develop confidence in their own abilities.
