Job summary

Jubilee School in Waterlooville is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5-16 with SEMH and complex needs. You will work with teachers to deliver personalised learning, build trusting relationships, and support emotional wellbeing in a nurturing, trauma-informed setting.

Qualifications

Job description

At Jubilee School, being a Teaching Assistant is about much more than supporting lessons. You'll build positive relationships with young people, help them overcome barriers to learning and give them the encouragement they need to grow in confidence and independence. Working alongside experienced teachers and the wider school team, you'll provide individual and small group support, adapting your approach to help pupils feel safe, understood and ready to learn. Whether you're helping with classroom activities, supporting emotional wellbeing or encouraging a pupil through a challenging moment, your contribution will make a genuine difference. Every pupil's journey is different and progress can come in many forms. You'll be there to recognise the small wins, celebrate the big achievements and help young people discover what they're capable of.
