Job summary

Mossbourne Fobbing Academy seeks to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our supportive SEND-focused team. The role involves assisting teachers, supporting student independence, and contributing to an inclusive classroom environment at a thriving, innovative federation.

The post is permanent, full-time (34.5 hours per week) with salary on the Teaching Assistant Pay Scale S1-S6 (£22,953–£24,302 p.a. FTE), with actual pay aligned to hours. Start ASAP, closing date 16 Oct 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in supporting SEND students is desirable.
• Ability to work under supervision of teachers and other staff.
• Strong organisational and communication skills for classroom support.

Responsibilities

• Support the inclusion of students with SEND in all aspects of academy life.
• Assist teachers with planning and providing learning activities.
• Support students in small groups or 1:1 to develop independence and outcomes.
