The school offers a more personalised approach to learning, with smaller groups and a strong focus on building positive relationships with pupils. It could be an excellent next step for someone looking to move away from the demands of a busy mainstream environment.

About the Role

  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Helping pupils access and engage with lessons
  • Supporting literacy, numeracy and wider learning activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
  • Working alongside teachers to adapt learning to individual needs
  • Supporting pupils throughout the school day, including during less structured periods
  • Contributing to a calm, safe and positive learning environment
Why Consider This Role?

  • The opportunity to build valuable SEND experience
  • Supportive teachers and a wider specialist team
  • An excellent and well-regarded school
  • Training and development opportunities

This could be particularly well suited to candidates currently working in mainstream schools who are interested in moving into SEND, specialist education or alternative provision.
