Job summary

Hoylandswaine Primary School in South Yorkshire is seeking two Teaching Assistant posts to support pupils with significant communication and interaction needs within the Resource Provision.

You will work alongside teachers, families and external professionals to help pupils progress in communication, social skills, confidence and independence, with Enhanced DBS clearance required and visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS clearance required.
• Not barred from regulated activity relevant to children.
• Overseas criminal record check if lived or worked overseas in the last five years (preferred candidates).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with significant communication and interaction needs to develop their communication.
• Support pupils to develop social skills, confidence and independence.
• Provide tailored support so pupils can access learning academically and socially.
• Help pupils build positive relationships and engage more independently in learning.
• Work alongside teachers, families and external professionals.
