Highfield School, which educates pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties and autistic spectrum conditions, is appointing several teaching assistants to work across its sites and classes as needed. Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required and the candidate must be eligible to work in the UK.

• Create a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment.
• Work with teachers and the SENCO to monitor and celebrate pupil progress.
• Support behaviour management strategies and promote positive social and emotional development.
• Adapt classroom resources and activities to individual needs and EHCP targets.
• Attend to pupils' social, health, physical, hygiene and personal care needs.
