About this Role

Term-Time + Training Days. Part Time 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant (SEND) to join our dedicated and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to thrive and achieve their full potential. Working alongside teachers and the wider support team you will provide targeted support for pupils with a range of additional needs including learning, communication and social, emotional and mental health needs. You will help create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment while adapting support to meet individual needs and enabling pupils to engage confidently with learning.

The role will involve supporting the delivery of personalised learning strategies, promoting communication and independence and helping pupils access the curriculum through a range of approaches and interventions. You may use tools and strategies such as visual timetables, now and next boards, Attention Autism, Intensive Interaction and PECS where appropriate. Training and ongoing professional development will be provided to support you in the role. This is a key role in supporting high-quality inclusive practice across the school. You will work collaboratively with staff, families and external professionals where required, helping to build pupils' confidence, engagement and wellbeing while making a positive contribution to the wider life of the school.

Founded in 1842 as the village school, it has proudly remained at the centre of local life, continuing to play a vital role in shaping generations of young learners.
