Job summary

Pathway Education is working with a partner SEND school in Tonbridge to recruit a teaching assistant. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 9:00am–3:30pm, in Tonbridge, Kent, with pay £80–£85 per day depending on experience.

You will support pupils with additional needs (PMLD and ASD) academically, physically and socially, assisting with communication and daily routines. The role offers rewarding work, SEND training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in SEND or with young people is required.
  • Good communication, resilience and teamwork are essential.
  • Patience and a positive, supportive attitude are important.
  • Role requires Monday to Friday work, 9:00am-3:00pm.

Responsibilities

Job description

Pay rate: £80 -£85 a day depending on experience. Pathway Education is working with a partner SEND school in Tonbridge. They require a teaching assistant to support pupils with additional needs (PMLD and ASD). The role will require supporting pupils academically, physically and socially. Suitable Candidates
  • Will have previous experience working with SEND or with with young people (A background in Education, Care, Sports coaching, Social Work, Psychology or Drama is also suitable)
  • Will be a good communicator, resilient, patient, team player with a good sense of humour
  • Can work Monday to Friday (9.00am-3pm)
