Job summary

St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust. The role involves aiding children’s educational, personal and social development under the guidance of senior staff, with 1:1 support for SEN learners as needed.

The post is term time, 8.35am to 3.20pm, 31.25 hours per week, with a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027, subject to funding. Excellent teamwork and a commitment to safeguarding are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Ability to support SEN pupils and provide 1:1 assistance when required.
• Proactive, flexible, patient and able to work within a caring team.
• Effective communication within a school team and with parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational, personal and social development of children under the direction of the Headteacher, SENCo and Class Teacher.
• Work 1-2-1 with SEN children as required.
• Support planning and delivery of learning activities within a nurturing environment.
