Job summary

CER Education Recruitment is seeking compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs across primary schools in Rotherham. The role offers flexible supply opportunities with both full-time and part-time positions and daily pay of £95–£115 depending on experience.

Join a dedicated team and help pupils access learning, implement EHCPs, and foster positive behaviour in an inclusive environment. DBS checked or willing to obtain one is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Assisting pupils to access learning activities and the curriculum
• Supporting the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
• Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to support individual learning goals
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
