Protocol Education Ltd is seeking SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a school in the BA2 area of Bath. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them engage with learning and build positive relationships.

You will work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to implement strategies, support emotional regulation, and foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes independence and personal development. Competitive pay and flexible hours offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in education, care, youth work or mental health settings is desirable.

Are you passionate about supporting young people who need additional emotional and behavioural support? We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school in the BA2 area of Bath.

This rewarding role involves working with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to engage with learning, develop positive relationships, and reach their full potential.

The Role:
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with students.
  • Supporting emotional regulation and encouraging positive behaviour.
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams to implement support strategies.
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

We Are Looking For:
  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Experience in education, care, youth work, coaching, support work, or mental health settings is highly desirable.
