Start: February 2025

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:00 (15:30 finish on Fridays)

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners? We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team for primary aged students as a Teaching Assistant, working closely with the students who face challenges thriving in mainstream or specialist schools, or who are transitioning back from out-of-county placements.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering one-to-one mentoring and tailored timetables designed around thematic learning experiences. Through a blend of classroom activities and engaging off-site sessions, you’ll help foster resilience, encourage positive engagement and lay the foundation for academic and personal growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide personalised support to students, either in small groups or 1:1
  • Work collaboratively with a team committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Help implement customised learning programmes that combine classroom and experiential learning activities

What we’re looking for:

  • A passion for working with children and young people, especially in SEN settings
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with additional needs, whether children or adults
  • Confidence in working within small groups and providing one-to-one mentoring
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (you will be required to transport students for off-site activities)
  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one

This role is perfect for someone with experience in SEN settings or those transitioning from a healthcare, support work or sports coaching background. You will receive full support to ensure you thrive in the role. You will participate in weekly CPD opportunities, further enhancing your CV and professional development.

For the right candidate, there is potential for career progression, including permanent roles and leadership opportunities.

Join today to make a difference, inspire change and empower young learners to achieve their full potential!
