Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support learning in Monmouth and surrounding areas. The role is full-time, temporary, with an ASAP start and long-term outlook. You will help pupils with additional needs and promote inclusive, engaging lessons.

The position requires safeguarding awareness, a DBS check, the right to work in the UK, and two professional references. You may be asked to take pupils out for supervised play when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children/adults with additional needs.
• Good behaviour management skills
• Up to date safeguarding and Prevent training issued in the last year
• Willing to take children out of lessons to play from time to time

Responsibilities

• Support learning across all aspects of lessons and activities.
• Aid learners with additional needs to access learning and activities.
• Assist with behaviour management and maintain a safe classroom.
• Take children outside for supervised play during appropriate times.

• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate 89.69 per day
• Hours - 8:30 am - 15:30pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience of working with children/adults with additional needs.
• Good behaviour management skills
• Up to date Safeguarding and Prevent training issued in the last year
• The candidate will need to be quite sporty and willing to take children out of lessons to play from time to time.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
