Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a flexible Secondary school Teaching Assistant in Carmarthen to start September on an ongoing supply basis, with potential progression to long-term contracts. Experience with ALN and ASD is desirable, and candidates should have safeguarding training up to date.

The role is based in a mainstream secondary environment, with normal school hours and a requirement to pass safeguarding/vetting checks. Right to work in the UK is essential.

Qualifications

• ALN and ASD experience is desirable.
• Safeguarding training updated within last year is required.
• Right to work in the UK and safeguarding/vetting checks will be completed by Prospero Teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary setting.
• Support students with ALN/ASD needs and implement individualised strategies.
• Assist with general cover duties during school hours and maintain classroom behaviour and safety.

Prospero Teaching is looking for Secondary school Teaching assistants in Carmarthen. The role available is fully flexible depending on the candidates needs. This position starts September and is an ongoing Supply role that may lead to a long term contract. Experienced in ALN and ASD is desired.

• Duration - Long/Part term
• Full time/part time
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP 89.76 per day
• Hours - Normal school hours (8:30 am - 3pm, for example)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS or equivalent
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (we can provide you with this training free of charge).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
