We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and friendly staff team - the successful candidate will be supporting individuals and groups of children with their learning across the school and also carrying out classroom based duties five mornings a week. In addition, the successful candidate will have a daily Midday Assistant role of one hour per day.

We are looking for someone who

  • is 'hands on' and can bring energy, enthusiasm and a sense of fun to the role
  • is caring, dedicated and patient and willing to use their own initiative to support the classteacher and pupils
  • has an understanding of child development and how children learn
  • has very good personal numeracy, literacy/grammar and ICT skills (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent)
  • is able to work in close partnership with the classteacher and staff team

Previous experience of working with children is preferable but not essential, as training and support will be provided. This is a public facing role and therefore the successful candidate must speak fluent English.
