Qualifications

Up to £29,815 + excellent benefits (salary will be pro rata'd)

Lavender Lodge school is housed in an 18th-century building in Mitcham. Our pupils come from various boroughs, experiencing a love of learning. We are proud of our pupils and staff, and recently received a 'Good' rating from Ofsted.

Skill set requirements –

  • Experience working with autistic pupils
  • Ability to communicate in various ways, including Makaton, picture display symbols, PECs, PODD, especially for non-verbal pupils
  • Experience managing challenging behaviour with a desire to understand its function
  • Flexibility to work with pupils aged 4 to 11
  • Creative approach to delivering accessible, bespoke lessons

Knowledge of autism strategies such as TEACCH, attention autism, PODD, and ability to implement these practically.
